Who is Christine?

​

Our brand was created by fashion designer Christine Edson.  Christine started her business in fashion when she was just ten years old!  Her grandmother was a dressmaker and taught Christine to sew at a very young age.  With access to beautiful luxury fabric scraps collected off the cutting room floor of her grandmother's atelier., young Christine made glamorous dresses for her collection of Barbie dolls.  It wasnt long before all her school friends wanted the same dresses for their dolls, , so Christine started taking orders!

Today', Christine still makes beautiful and exciting dresses from deadstock fabrics but not for dolls.... for people!

  

Passionate about slow fashion  Christine founded the Atelier  to create fashion can be both sustainable and highly glamorous.  We utilise recycled or reclaimed materials whenever we can.

Everything you will see is meticulously handmade in our Manchester Atelier Studios by dedicated creative seamstresses and artisan tailors.  Our designs are always Exclusive and Limited,     We create each outfit to order, which helps to minimise fashion industry waste to be more sustainable.

We believe every body deserves a gorgeous dress, so we also will make our designs in any size and we encourage you to send measurements for us to work with.  Your dress will be made just for you so you can ask for special requests.... longer, shorter, add sleeves.., change colours.......any variation. to make it YOU>
